Time, a key element for Zero Trust networks and accurate log files, must be accurate, reliable and secure otherwise authentication mechanisms would fail, essential log file timestamps would not align, Zero Trust analysis would not be reliable, forensics would be hampered and other network problems would occur.
Not only must the time be correct, but the time server that synchronises other equipment such as servers, routers and switches must also be Zero Trust compliant and adapt to a Zero Trust architecture accordingly.
