Milexia Group takes over Globes Elektronik

“GLOBES will enrich our group in many ways,” commented Pascal Gandolfini, Milexia President. “We will strengthen our team with valuable managers who have extensive experience of more than 40 years in the electronics industry. We are expanding our market presence into new territories, but not forgetting where we come from: local, agile, at the pulse of the market.”

With this acquisition, Milexia gains 16 new qualified team members and more than €10M turnover: thus we reach our plan of €100M turnover, double of 3 years ago. In addition, we are strengthening our marketing and complementing our technical capabilities in SatCom, RF and timing. To be able to complete such an acquisition during this pandemic without slowing down our organic growth is a great achievement by Milexia’s 160 employees and validates our business model.”

Ulrich Blievernicht, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Globes, says: “It is a very exciting time to join Milexia, one of the fastest growing representatives and distributors in Europe. Our companies share a common DNA, believe in people and put customers first. We are very excited to be an important part of the Milexia puzzle to cover the largest European markets and other territories and to bring our many years of experience to Milexia’s growth plan.” This milestone is part of Milexia’s strategic plan to expand its presence in Europe and offer value-added services to our customers and suppliers.

The Milexia Group, with the support of its minority investors Société Générale Capital Partenaires, Bpifrance and Isatis Capital, completes its 4th acquisition in the last 3 years. MILEXIA is a major European representative and group of companies specialized in the distribution and value creation of high technology components, systems, scientific instruments and technical services. It was founded in 2006 through the merger of two long-established (1971) representatives and distributors in France and Italy. The group has expanded its presence in Spain (2011) and more recently in the UK (2019). Milexia’s highly qualified team supports with its own branches.

Milexia Group announce acquisition of Globes Elektronik and PKTRONICS

These two milestones are part of Milexia strategic plan to expand Milexia coverage into new Western European countries, and offer additional value-added services to our customers and suppliers.

This allows us to add 40 new skilled team members to our team, strengthens our technical manufacturing capabilities and also brings an additional laboratory for both assembly and product development in the computing domain which will complement our existing technical skills in the Satcom, RF and Timing.
