SCORPION Multi-band Manpack Satellite Terminal

The Scorpion can be supplied in X, Ku or Ka-Band with reflector sizes from 60cm to 1.0m. All the frequency and size options can still be packed away in a single carry case with all the equipment required to uplink, including the pointing aid, cables and power supply.

Everything required to establish an uplink ships in one soft case, including the antenna, pointing aid, cables, and power supply. No-tools assembly. Backpack or hard-case packing options.

X, Ku and Ka-band operation with 60cm, 80cm and 1.0m reflectors

Configurable across all three bands and three reflector sizes, with up to 55W terminal power. Ka-band EIRP reaches 60.4dBw on the 1.0m reflector.

IP65-rated weatherproof design for field conditions

The captive elevation head houses all RF components in a fully sealed IP65 enclosure, no dangling wires or exposed connections. Cantilevered gas-strut tripod legs raise the base 120mm off the ground, mitigating ground-effect heating and keeping the terminal usable in wet and muddy conditions.

AIM ASSIST pointing with GPS, compass and inclinometer

Holkirk’s AIM ASSIST manual assist antenna controller combines GPS, electronic compass and inclinometer for fast, accurate acquisition, with fine adjustment available on all axes.

Integrated IP modem options and out-of-band management

Supports iDirect, Newtec, Teledyne, Q-Flex, UHP and Comtech modems, or an SDR. Powered from 110–240 VAC, DC, or an optional battery pack on lower-power configurations.
