As operational frequency requirements increase, electronic systems downsize and power usage becomes more critical, the most important parameters are Q (Quality Factor) and ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance).

Knowles Precision Devices offers devices based on a wide variety of High Q dielectrics including ultra-low ESR, high temperature, high power, ultra-stable and leaded options.

  • Q and U Range: the “Q” and “U” ranges offer a very stable High Q material system that provides excellent, low loss performance in high frequency systems. Optimized for the lowest possible ESR, this range of high frequency capacitors is suitable for many applications where economical, high performance is required.
    Available in 0402 to 3640 case sizes with various termination options including ribbon leads, non-magnetic (SM & ribbon leads) and tin/lead plated where special finishes are required.
  • H Range: the Ultra-Low ESR “H” range offers a very stable X8G High Q material system that provides excellent low loss performance.
    Optimized for lowest possible ESR, the electrode system provides low metal losses resulting in flatter performance curves and reduced losses at higher frequencies. An extended operating temperature range of -55ºC to +150ºC accommodates modern high density micro electronics requirements.
    This range of high frequency capacitors is suitable for many applications where economical, high performance is required.
  • High Q Caps (UL): a range of ultra stable Hi Q, low ESR porcelain capacitors with high self-resonance combined with established reliability.
  • High Power RF: a range of ultra-low loss High Q ceramic capacitors with C0G/NP0 characteristics suitable for high power applications where minimal power loss and very low self heating is demanded.
  • Porcelain (AH): a range of ultra-stable Hi Q, low ESR porcelain capacitors with high self-resonance combined with established reliability.
  • Porcelain (CF): a range of ultra stable Hi Q , low ESR porcelain capacitors with high self-resonance combined with established reliability.
