Anemometers

The anemometer is equipped with a magnet which counts the revolutions of the propeller by closing the reed contact and thus determines the wind speed.

Many other applications such as water meters, gas meters, bicycle meters use this detection principle. The magnet located on the mobile part, encoder wheel or bicycle radius, associated with the REED sensor located on the fixed part, allows to calculate the flow, the speed or the distance. Speed, endurance, reliability, watertightness, zero energy consumption and low cost are the assets of this system.
